this is E Maths question. differentiation is taught in A Maths; not a good idea to apply differentiation to solve E Maths problem.
just need to remember that quadratic curve is always symmetrical, and maximum/minimum point always lie on line of symmetry.
first find mid-point of (-3,0) and (2,0) to get line of symmetry. then substitute x value into equation of curve to calculate y-value of minimum point.
