Starting from $1.50, you can separate the ways you can add 10 cents and 20 cents together.

On the left side is the ways of having 10 cents, starting from all being 10 cents adding up to $1.50 (no 20cents).

By slowly increasing the number of 20cents used by one, the number of 10cent coins used is 2 less.
Eventually you will get 7 coins of 20cents and 1 10cent coin. You will get all the different combinations of 10 and 20 cents
