The model is developed by working backwards of the events happened.

Starting with Clara, she had 2 units at first. After receiving from Betty 4 units, she had 6 units in the end.

Since all of them should have equal number in the end, each of them should have 6 units in the end.

Betty had 6 units in the end. Before giving 4 units to Clara, she should have 10 units. (This was after receiving some units from Andrew.)

I repeat the model for Betty to show what she had at first in blue and the number of units is double after receiving some units from Andrew which is 5 units.

Andrew had 6 units in the end and before giving 5 units to Betty, he should have 11 units.
