i) The straight line equation is y = 0 (the x-axis).
ii) The equation is solved where the quadratic equation (the curve you drew from earlier part of the question) intersects the x-axis. Algebraically, it intersects at x = -0.436 and x = 3.44. Graphically, you should estimate as -0.45 and 3.45.

I don’t think the straight line is y = 0 though. The question in the picture is part c which probably comes from an earlier part, so it would be inconclusive.
