Total blue pens = 1 unit
Cost of red pens = 3units x 4
Cost of blue pens = 1unit x 2.5
Difference of 38 = 3units x 4 - 1unit x 2.5
Solve for 1unit.
38=12units - 2.5units
= 9.5units
Therefore 1unit = 38÷9.5 = 4
Since total blue pens = 1unit, therefore total blue pens is 4
Total blue pens = 1 unit
