Back then, more than 10 years ago, inverse matrices was part of the A Maths syllabus.
Now, I don’t think that students learn the inverse matrix in E Maths.
To do this question, we just let the unknown matrix be a 2 x 2 matrix (a b c d).
We then proceed to solve several simuls for the four elements in the unknown matrix.
