400 is a square of 20 x 20, so for the multiple of two consecutive pages to be 420, it can be 19 x 20 or 20 x 21
since 420 is bigger than 400, it must be 20 x 21
to check, 400 = 20 x 20, 420 = 400 + 20 = 20 x 21 = (20 x 20) + 20
