I think your part (d) is wrong. -2(-40)=-80 and not -40. But thanks for answering!!

Once a while we do have careless mistakes. Last one is 169 after corrections.
Nic, the idea for such questions is that even though a2 + b2 is not equal to (a + b)^2, they are related by a connector 2ab.

Thanks Eric. I’ve actually already found out the answer on my own and got 169. I just chose to point out the mistake just in case anyone referring to hus solution gets confused too.
