Usually there is no +c version as the convention is -c. Did you encounter +c somewhere eg. Some practice question?
i haven’t encountered +c before hence wondering if +c formula does exist. btw can help take a look at my workings in pencil ? i didn’t use the usual formula . i used some summation formula instead . do u think it’s legit
Aren't the workings in your picture based on the notes' formula itself? Looks ok to me
Btw if you happen to encounter +c, just remember that + c = - (-c).
So you'll just have to swap the c in the formula for the mean to -c. As for variance, +c or -c doesn't affect it since it's a constant.
