Here. We cannot assume values from the diagram even though angle ACB is acute, though I think the setter intended angle ACB to be acute and BAC to be obtuse.

This one is not provided from the question (and is therefore a bad question being set by the examiner).

Once we find angle BAC, we can find the value of angle ACB numerically. One of the values will be more than 90 and the other will be less than 90.

If angle ACB is intended to be acute as per the pictorial, then angle BAC has to be one of the calculated values. Again, this is not actually provided in the question so I leave it to your judgement.

I suggest you add to the question “...and angle ACB is acute”.

In the “angle ACB is acute” case, your solution will be the 135 degrees version for angle BAC.
