Ben's speed - Alan's speed = 90
d/20-d/30=90
3d - 2d=5400
d=5400
Alan's speed =5400/30=180 m/min

Hi. Yes. You can let x and y be the speeds. The first equation 20x=30y and second equation x-y=90 then solve for x and y.
