Alternatively, if you do not wish the use the same assumption.

Calculate the surfce area of a cylinder with radius 1.5cm and height 3cm.

Deduct the area of the bottom circle of radius 1.5cm.

Calculate the surface area of the sphere with radius 3.5cm (As shown)

Calculate the surface area of the Spherical portion of the spherical cap (This is the hard part) with radius 1.5cm and height = h
(You will have to derive the height using calculus or otherwise plotting the sphere on a coordinate plane system.)
