1st
a) Red: white = 1:3
Fraction of red paint to mixture
= red / total of all paint
= 1 / 4

b) paint P
Ratio Red : White = 2:4 simplify to 1:2 by divide all by 2
Paint Q
Ratio red : white = 3:9 simplify to 1/3 by divide all by 3.

ii) compare red to white paint
When the ratio have more white paint, the mixture will be result in lighter pink.
In this case is 1/3 as 1 unit of red is mix with 3u of white will give the lighter pink.
