The square can be divided into 4 triangles.
Area of two shaded half- leaves
= Area of semicircle - area of 1 triangle
= 3.14 x 25cm x 25cm x ½ - ½ x 50 x 25cm
= 981.25cm² - 625cm²
= 356.25cm²
There are 8 shaded half-leaves in the figure. And 8 = 2 x 4.
So area of shaded parts
= 4 x 356.25cm²
= 1425cm²
