Using the model methods, construct 2 bars of the same length (because number of students and number of stamps are constant). When dividing into more units, indicate the shortage by a small dotted portion that extends out of one of the bars. When dividing into lesser units, indicate the excess as a small portion of the other bar. This difference in the number of units is the sum of the excess and the surplus. Use the unitary method to continue and solve.
