Hi answer is actually 3/10. As you can see there is 5 squares and the shaded region is exactly half of three of the squares. Hence the fraction the shaded region takes up would be 3/5 (area of the 3 squares) divided by 2 (same as multiplying it by 1/2) and you would get 3/10 :) hope this helps!
