Hi Sonia! Here are my workings for this question.

Remember that the calculation for distance is not the same as the calculation for displacement. We need to take note of the timing at which v = 0, because the particle likely turns around at this point.

This is when the displacement only counts the overall distance from the starting position, whereas the distance travelled counts every single movement of the particle.

In this question, the distance travelled is 64 m, but because the particle returns to the starting position, its displacement is actually 0 m, so we have to be more careful here.
