The question stated that they have the same number of sweets in the end. Meant that they have equal number of sweets

Since they are all equal, the ratio may be 1:1:1 or 3:3:3 or 10:10:10. Because they would eventually reduce to 1:1:1. I hope this made things clearer for you.
