Because the figure is a parallelogram, each side is parallel to the opposite side, allowing us to use the “alternate angle rule”. Using the alt. angle rule and the sine rule, we can determine that (sin CDE) is equal to (sin EBA), which makes EC=AE.
With AE=3x and EC=15
X=15/3=5
