Range of y = |cos 2x| is 0 to 1 (since the graph lies within y = 0 and y = 1)
Range of y = |cos 2x| - 1 is -1 to 0 (since the graph lies within y = -1 and y = 0)
Range of y = 1 - |cos 2x| is 0 to 1 (since the graph lies within y = 0 and y = 1)
