Careful with the naming of the roots.

For the given equation, the sum of roots is -b/a and the product of roots is c/a.

But the roots are given as a2 and 6/a, not your typical a and b, so the sum of roots is also equal to a2 + 6/a, not a + b. In other words, a2 + 6/a = “-b/a”.
