Can you explain how you managed to get n=2 from "k" x2? thanks!
Because y = pi x^2.
You can let pi = k so that y = k x^2.
In other words, y is proportional to x^2.
Question is to find the value of n so that y is proportional to x^n.
Of course, here n represents the power of x.
