Part (b) is a point of discussion amongst many of us.
I assume, in my calculation, that the journey time includes the rest time AND the speed of the cyclist does not count the resting time.
In actual measurements, to calculate average speed of journey, we have to include the time periods in the middle of the journey when the cyclist is at rest.
