Wait,aren't irrational numbers decimal in nature?
Yes, all irrational numbers are decimal in nature. The reverse is not necessarily true. Not all decimals are irrational though.
Decimals which truncate at some point (i.e. does not continue all the way) are classified as rational numbers. For example, 3.14 can be written as 314/100 where both the numerator and the denominator are whole numbers, whereas pi is irrational (the value in your calculator is just a rounded version).
Some continuous decimals like 0.77777.... can be written as 7/9,
