It's kind of 'weighted average'.
Something like, if nine people has a mass of 40 kg each and one person has a mass of 50 kg, then their overall average mass is not 45 kg, but rather total mass / total number of people which is 41 kg.
The computation of things like average speed of a journey of different speeds can also be considered as a weighted average.
