Do take note that this division process is different from Meiosis.
The main differences are:
1. Mitosis produces diploid cells (46 chromosomes), Meosis produces haploid cells (23 chromosomes)
2. Mitosis produces 2 genetically identical daughter cells, Meosis produces 4 genetically different daughter cells
3. Mitosis has 1 stage, Meosis has 2 stages
4. Mitosis results in 2 nuclei, Meosis results in 4 nuclei.
Hope this helps! :)
