Sorry please ignore the cancelling due to my careless mistake.
Firstly we add $322 to $2002 so that the dresses and skirts have the same amount earned.
We then divide the sum by 2 to get the total cost of the skirts(5units).
Next we find 3 units of the cost. This is to help us to determine the amount of extra cost from the dresses. Why 3 units:This is because that the dresses and skirt actually have the same cost but due to the extra cost from the dresses, the amount earned from 3unit of skirt is used to subtract the extra cost from d to get $322.
Finally once we get the amount of total extra cost from d we divive it by 13.40 to determine how many dresses are sold in total.
From there we can calculate the total number of clothing sold.
