For q3a part i, 4 pi is a constant that appears in both spheres so u can ignore it as they will cancel each other out.
Similarly, for part ii, although the formula for volume of sphere is 4/3 pi r cube, u can ignore the 4/3 pi coz it is a constant that is present in both spheres.
For part b, cost of painting the sphere is looking at surface area instead of radius and volume as you are painting the surface of the sphere.
