How you get N2= 0.575 , is the total N is 9.8 ? Why ?

We need to set O as the pivot, there will be a torque on the rod. W1=0.2g, W2=0.3g, W3=0.5g. Refer to the equation, we can find N2=1/3xW2+1/2xW1+3/4xW3, substitute W in you will get N2. Think this whole system as one object, Total N=Total Weight=weight of rod + W2+W3. So we can find N1=weight of the whole system - N2.

We set the left supporting point as pivot, the right side will become rotation side.

Total N should be 9.8 (Newton).
