Hi Veeta. a cross section is the shape we get when cutting straight through an object. Thus for this, I shade the bottom side of both figures. see my drawings for more illustration. Hope this helps !

The question asks for uniform cross section. For i), if you cut it that way, the cross section is not of the same size and shape throughout/across the solid.
