Yes, need to work backward! :) Find out step by step how many marbles they each have. The fact that Dick has 3 times more than Tom is an extra fact, no need to use it in solving the question. :)

Dick transferred 36 to Harry, so Harry should be 54+24=78-36=42
Tom is 162-30-42=90
