Previously:
She has 120 beads. (1/6) is purple so she has 20 purple beads and 100 pink beads.
After buying some purple beads:
(2/3) of the new total are pink beads. Pink beads are still the same (100) so the new total is (3/2) x 100 = 150.
New total - previous total = 30
Hence she bought 30 purple beads.
