When each student receive 3 sweets, there are 30 sweets left. So total no. of sweets = 3x+30. But when each students receives 4 sweets, there are not enough sweets so need 5 more. Total no. of sweets = 4x-5
Since the total no. of sweets does not change 3x+30= 4x-5. Then solve for x which is the no. of students in the class (assuming that is what the question is asking) Hope it helps!
