Lets assume matinee ticket sold is M and Evening tickets sold is E

7M+9E = 2929
M+E = 378

M = 378 - E
7 (378 - E) + 9E = 2929 → by substituting above equation (M=378-E) in this
2646 - 7E+ 9E = 2929
-7E + 9E = 2929 - 2646
2E = 283
E = 141.5

M = 378 - 141.5 = 236.5 → by substituting above value (E= 141.5) in this

So total matinee tickets are 236 full cost tickets and 1 half cost ticket (probably child ticket). But as such the no. of physical tickets issued are 237 tickets (including the child ticket). So the answer is 237.
