Since Wei Yi’s amount appears in the sum of both, it will just minus off when you minus 4586-1321, which the ans will be how much more M has than R

Kym, thank you for your answer. I understand all the steps but I could not comprehend the rationale behind the step ‘M-R’. What are we getting at when we perform this step? Mental block :(
When i take M-R, its the difference between these 2 ppl. And since WY amount appears in both sums, its amount will just be cancelled off. For eg if you have A + B = 100, and B + C = 80, so A + B - (B + C) = A - C = 100 - 50 = 20. I hope this helps!
I get it now. Thank you very much for your help :)
