Erm, for qns 2 the first code, isn't it 8×7×7×7 since repetitions are allowed?
The '6 choices' refers to the 'not F' location, do only 6 not 7.

May I ask how did you get 3! for qns 3
The 3! is because of the three S's, they are identical items, non-distinctable
