Kok Weiyong's answer to kenzy's Secondary 3 E Maths question.
hi thanks for your answer. may i know why did u use x to minus both roots ? :)
imagine you have the equation x^2 - 5x + 6 = 0. After factorisation, you will get (x - 2)(x - 3) = 0 and the roots are 2 and 3.
So, when you are told that the roots to a quadratic equation are 2 and 3, you can write in the form
(x - 2)(x - 3) = 0 to obtain the original equation.
