The definition of perpendicular is the relationship between two lines which meet at a right angle. However, be aware that line can be extended, as the line segment OP and QP.

1) Don't think the lines can be extended. It's not stated in the question.
2) MNO is only a right angle if the grid on the paper is a square. (Don't think we should assume unless it's explicitly given?)
