a) as Zinc has two valence electrons it will form Zn2+ and when reacting with H2SO4, SO4 and H2 split to form ions such as SO4 2-. This causes Zn2+ and SO4 2- to bond with one another to form ZnSO4, an ionic bond. As H2 has no valence electrons, it does not react and form any bonds. Resulting in Zn+H2SO4= ZnSO4+ H2
