Mrs loh has 6k egg tarts baked. The number of egg tarts she has left is: number of egg tarts baked- number of egg tarts left= 6k-k=5k
If each nephew gets 3 egg tarts, the number of nephews is: number of egg tarts given away divided by the number of egg tarts each nephew gets= 5k/3.
Since we don’t know what k is equal to, we can leave the answer in terms of k. Therefore, Mrs Loh has 5k/3 nephews.
