1.5 is equal to 1 1/2 as both .5 and 1/2 are half of a whole.
1 bird eats 1.5 cups worth of food every week . 4 birds would eat 4 times of that. For 4 x 1.5 , just do it like a normal 4 x 15. After completing that , write the decimal place below 1.5's decimal place.
