First, find the volume of water present inside Tank X. While water is transferred to Tank Y, the total volume of water remains the same. As the water level in both tanks are to be the same, the two tanks can be taken as one take and the total base area can be added together. Hence, dividing the total volume of water by the total area of the base of both tanks, the height of the water level is determined to be 20 cm
