Why did you sub "t"?
Curve shows integrate x limits from 0 to 2*pi*r, parametric is in terms of deta, given in the question.
When you sketch your curve in part (i) for 0<= deta <= 4 pi, you would have calculated that when deta=2 pi, x=2 pi r.
