This question is done assuming the water level is parallel at the tip of mouth of A. Otherwise this question is unsolvable.

So what’s the final answer. Your working seems to be complicated.

1) find B = 12 x 14 x 14 = 2352 cm^3
2) find C = 2 x 10 x 10 = 200 cm^3
Then you use
2cm --> B + C = 2552 cm^3
18cm --> 18 x 2552 ÷ 2 = 22968 cm^3
3/4 of 24cm = 18cm

You need to understand that once the water level falls below the mouth of the tube, you will not see anymore flow. It will continue to flow as long as the water level is between the mouth of the tube.
