Hi , I still don't understand ...
Take it one setep at a time.
Do you first understand why there are 24 boys Vs 12 girls?
If 12 girls ate an average of 2 cakes each, can you understand why they ate a total of 12x2=24 cakes together?
(Total no. of cakes eaten by girls + total no. of cakes eaten by boys) /36 =4.
Can you understand this?
