For A, we must use 24 days as the keyword to lookout for is "when Eden started". When Eden started, both Kate and Jasper have yet to start their revision for the day too.

For B, we must form an algebraic equation. X is used as to describe the number of days Eden has to take to "overtake" both Kate and Jasper in terms of the number of sums solved. Since Jasper and Kate had a head start, we must use the algebraic expression (x +24) for their number of days.
