Let the algebra variables cancel itself off and you are left with numbers for your calculations.

Thx so much:) btw when we cancel the K/q square root from both the numerator and denominator it is = -1 instead of 0?

You’re welcome. Not -1 or 0 but is 1 after cancelling off. Cancel off is basically divide by the same value on top and below e.g. 9/9 = 1. 1 multiply by anything is still the same value so we just drop the 1.

I’m assuming you are referring to the left side. Then for the right side cause there is no other value so the 1 remains and then the sign in front is negative so is -1.
