Since there’s no left over when put in 7,12 this means that the number is a multiple of 7 and 12. When put in 5 there’s a remainder of 2 which means that the number must either end with 7 or 2 because 7/5=1r2 and 12/5=2r2.
Multiple of 7,12= 84,168,252
Lowest possible number = 252

5 is a special number as its multiple only ends with 5 or 0. Eg, 5,10,15,20,25… so with a remainder of 2, the number must end with 0+2 or 5+2 and that’s how I got the number must end with either 2 or 7.
