The clue here is the total number of beads is EQUAL to total number of buttons and 1/2 of the beads. So, 1 unit is blue beads and 1 unit is red beads.
Among the buttons, 189 are red and the rest are blue. But 1 unit of blue beads and the (do not know) blue buttons are 297.
And we know blue buttons and red buttons together are 2 units. (total beads = total buttons)
Take a look at my 2nd model which is in term of units, to have a clearer picture.
