part (a) is integration of composite function, followed by integration by parts, while part (b) is integration by substitution.
[i assume that you have already learned these topics]

for (a) ...,
for 2nd part, common mistake is to split as x^3 & √(1+x^2 ), but will have difficulty to integrate √(1+x^2 ).
correct method is to split the expression in such a way that you have one part that can be differentiated while other part can be integrated.

for (b) ...,
remember to substitute back original variable after integrating.

for such type of question, can check answers by using the integration function in TI-84 GC & substituting suitable set of boundary values. have used my GC to check & confirm that the answers here should be correct.
